FAQ
-
What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed or no-show appointments, are charged the full session rate. We charge a card on file or send an invoice that must be paid prior to the next appointment.
-
What form of payments are accepted?
Cash, Credit/debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, Venmo, Zelle, Checks (made payable to Kinected Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork)
Payment is due at the time of service.
A 3% processing fee may be applied to all credit/debit card transactions. If you’d like to avoid the fee, alternative payment methods are available.
-
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept or bill insurance; all sessions are self-pay. HSA/FSA cards are accepted.
Some clients choose to submit their receipt to their insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement, depending on their plan.
I recommend checking directly with your insurance company to confirm coverage.
-
Do you charge a card on file for cancellations?
If a card is on file, it may be charged for a late cancellation or no-show. If no card is on file, an invoice will be issued and must be paid prior to your next scheduled visit. Cards are only charged with consent for late cancellations or no-shows.
-
Will I receive reminders or confirmations?
You will receive a confirmation request in advance of your appointment and a reminder closer to the date. Confirming helps prevent unwanted cancellations or gaps in the schedule.
-
Do I need to know what type of massage to book?
Nope! Just choose the session length. We’ll chat before we start and figure out what your body needs that day — whether that’s deeper work, something more relaxing, or a mix of both.
-
How does the waitlist work?
The waitlist is intended for clients who are able to come in on short notice if an opening becomes available. Openings are offered as they arise and are not held unless confirmed. Please only add yourself if you can attend on short notice.
-
What should I wear?
Whatever you’re comfortable in. You’ll be fully covered with a sheet and blanket during the session, and I’ll only uncover the area I’m working on. Most clients undress to their comfort level.
-
What if I’m not good at relaxing or have anxiety?
You’re definitely not alone — a lot of people feel that way. There’s no pressure to “do it right” here. You can talk, stay quiet, ask questions, or move around if you need to. My goal is to make sure your session feels safe, supportive, and comfortable in your own way.
-
Can I come in if I’m sore, injured, or recovering from something?
Yes — massage can be helpful in many stages of healing. Just let me know what’s going on and we’ll tailor the session to support you safely.
-
Do you offer prenatal massage?
Yes, I do offer prenatal massage for second and third trimester. It’s not the main focus of my practice, but I’m happy to work with you if you’re looking for something more therapeutic and supportive during pregnancy. If you’re unsure if it’s a good fit, feel free to reach out before booking.
-
Do you offer cupping?
Yes — I use cupping as a tool during sessions when it fits the work we’re doing. I don’t do full cupping treatments, but I’ll sometimes incorporate them like an extension of my hands to help with tension, circulation, or stubborn areas. You don’t need to book it separately — if it makes sense for your session, I’ll offer it.
-
Do you use hot stones or aromatherapy?
Yes — I sometimes use hot stones or aromatherapy to support the session when it fits the work we’re doing. They’re not the main focus, but they can help with relaxation, tension, and overall experience. If you’re interested in either, just let me know ahead of time so I can have everything set up.
-
Do you work holidays or long weekends?
Holiday and extended weekend availability may be limited, and certain dates may be closed. We may require advance confirmation for appointments during these times.
